DO NOT fall into the pay by kilobyte scam..

actualy if you do go with a data plan it has to be unlimited.. or don't bother.
the overage charges are insane! you'll be looknig at 100's of bucks a month.
and most people say.. i only surfed here a couple times.. only got a couple emails..

unfortunately, their is a difference between the phone internet (WAP) and pda internet (html) i was told by cingular i needed the pda internet, and i think you will too unfortunately, but i would think tmobile would have the ability to pay as you go, like pay per kilobyte

I just bought an unlocked, gsm Treo 650. So far, I love it! I would like to be able to check my email on it so I thought I could use the T Mobile Web ($5.99) but was told I couldn't. In fact, I was told that the only way I could check it would be the $29.99 data plan. I don't need all of those features, and I can't afford it anyway. Does anyone have any ideas to offer on how this can be accomplished when my laptop is at home and I'm not?
