With no SIM in the phone I have a feeling all you'd see is "INSERT SIM Card", so there would be no way to make any changes to your phone's setting, unless there is at least an inactive SIM in the phone.

I'm pretty sure it worked...it did say 'Phone restrictions removed', but it would be nice to test it out. Yeah I think I can find family/friend with a different SIM card.

When you unlocked the phone there shoud have been a message to the effect of the "SIM restriction has been removed". Trying a SIM from another carrier is the best way, though. Do you have any friends or family with a different GSM service provider?

    Hey all!

I just unlocked my Nokia 6010 cell phone and want to know if there is any way of verifying the unlocking..(other than swapping out different SIM cards?).

    thx.
