    Not really Shayne,

It's really up to the consumers to ACTUALLY read what their getting for "free", companies know that people are pretty much for the most part sheep, and no one likes to read anything that says "Terms and Conditions", which in 90% of the cases has to be read and checked before you can go to where you can get the "Free Stuff". Granted it would be more fair to put in BOLD RED TYPE, that there ain't no free lunch, but people would still go for it and try to get that Ringtone or whatever, and still be shocked that 6 months after they forget to check their phone bills that their being charged $x number of dollars a month for something they have forgotten about.

This is one of the reasons that any bill you get says on it somewhere to check it to make sure it's right, and if you find a mistake report it within a certain amount of time, otherwise tough luck on getting credit to that acount past 90 days, or less.

Glad it was helpful to you Starkar.

The bad thing about these type of services, is that you get charged even if you don't use them. And anyone can enter anyone else's phone number into one or more of these sites to "Get Even" with them. And all it takes in a few $9.99 sites and one of two $19.99 sites to add a few hundred dollars to a person's account.

They try to justify it by doing something like a daily text message, or allowing you to download once a month one ringtone, which snags way to many people into signing up using a text message, because they are certain not to see the disclaimer on TV or listen to it on the radio, because most only hear the "FREE RINGTONE" part of the advertisements.

And when the ad in on a web page, 99% of the people don't read the entire web page, where on the bottom of the page it states what you are getting and paying for.

Again I thank u for taking the time to give me this info...

And you do wanna kill this as soon as possible, as it's costing you $9.99 a month.

If you can find that post, please click the "Report Post" button near the bottom left of the post so we can check it out. A similar thing happened to me once, and you have to reply to the joke with STOP or CANCEL (sorry I can't remember which one, I think I tried both before I finally got a confirmation message.

Please be careful of those things, I don't trust a lot of sites that want my phone number to send me free stuff, not after what I went through with one of them already. I download or make my own graphics and ringtones, and use an uploader site that allows me to retrieve the file via WAP with a jumpcode.

I have been in CPF looking at the posts and replies. I saw one that mentioned free ringtones so I went into the site and tried to get one. (I have no idea what site it was and have looked to try and find the original message about it.) The site didn't give me a ringtone but a damn "joke of the day." I can't seem to get it off my phone. I have enough humor in my life and I'm not finding this funny!! Any suggestions. HELP!
    Thanks in advance.
