    if you ask them they should be able to tell you it's under Setting & tools -> System -> Device info -> SW version. if it has VZ01 at the end of software version then it's version 1. if so you can have the software flashed at any verizon wireless corporate store with tech's there.

    Yea, i dont plan on throwing it at ladders anyway. How would I know what version the software is if i bought it off of ebay?

    it's a great phone i only dropped it once on pavement and it put some scratches on it but nothing real bad. it didn't stand a chance when i threw it against a metal ladder. make sure it has ver2 software for it to run smoother and it fixes the glitch where it will only go to the white verizon screen.

    I want to buy a new phone and was looking at the V(vx9800). I was wondering if there was anything bad about this phone.

    Is it a durable phone? Does it break easily?

    If anyone has any other suggestions for phones please let me know.
    I have Verizon btw.
