Thanks for the reply and I understand the wastage. But since I have already gotten the card (at a cheaper price), I would like to know if I can make it work on LG VX9800. I think I made the mistake of formatting it with PC and now when I try to reformat it via cellphone, it gives the message "Failed".

    Thanks again.

By default, the VX9800 will only recognize 1GB of expandable memory. So, if you put a 2GB card into the phone, it will only format 1GB for your use. The other 1GB is wasted money on your part.

Is there anyway to make 2GB card work even with 1GB capacity with LG VX9800? If so, would you mind sharing what you had to do. I would really appreciate your reply.

Thanks and have a great day.

The phone will only recognize 1 GB at this time. So don't waste your money on the 2 or even 3 GB cards that are out there.
