No, they are different technologies and wont work. Srint is CDMA and Nextel is IDEN. If you want a phone for sprint get a sprint "branded" phone. Also, it is not a bad idea to call Sprint and make sure the ESN of the new phone is able to be activated BEFORE you put money down on it.

If i buy a phone off of ebay that is made for nextel, could i use it on my sprint plan. becuase they did merge and stuff. thanks for the help
