I thought the same thing...about possibly being a slot for memory expansion card, but that model phone is now almost prehistoric...lol, so I omitted that fact. I figure that it was just easier for Nokia to keep the design rather than retool.

I questioned whether the "spot for a sim card" could be for a memory card, but according to phonescoop, there is not expansion memory capability.

But no, your Cingular card will not work in it.

If the phone is branded to sprint, they operate on cdma technology not gsm and therefore does not use SIM card. Nokia manufactures phones primarily for GSM and from what I read, the 6225 has similar design features to the 6200 that was made for ATTWS.

I have a sprint Nokia 6225, it has a spot for a sim card, so is there a way I can use my cingular sim card in it...... I saw that people are talking about unlocking, so if I unloack it, would that do it, I saw that the number to unlock it was #06# any help would be great. thanks
