My dad just moved FURTHER into the country and 20 miles away from a Sprint tower. He gets great reception with Alltel via digital roaming, but I'd like to get him something like what I have for Father's Day and hopefully get him back on a Sprint tower so I'm not wasting money on his Vision Plus pack (he's the 3rd phone on MY plan). We don't pay for roaming but none of the data features work so he's missing out on text and picture mail.

I'd like to know more about your friend's repeater unit, does he pick up his own service provider or does he roam? I am told that with the right unidirectional antenna pointed in the right direction, you can pick up a tower from 50 miles away! Let me know what your friend has, if you can, thanks!

all kidding aside, I don't have a land line, I just don't need it so I have to have a cell phone that works inside the house not just outside. It's been a great investment for me cause now I can actually have a full conversation inside my home.
I just bought one of these repeater units from cell booster store.com after thinking about it for 2 months! I'm glad I did because it works great! I'm not so sure it would be perfect for a large building, but for my small house it works great. I got the 1900mhz unit because that's all Sprint uses (1900mhz is called the "PCS" band, verify which frequency your provider uses in your area).

Before I got my repeater, I got 2 bars outside and no service inside (except digital and analog roaming!). Now, I get 3-6 bars in most parts of my house on Sprint's network which is actually much better than my outdoor reception! I don't have to run outside and stand in the middle of the back yard to send pictures or text anymore!

cool, I will have to look into that. But as far as home boosters go, mine works really well. I have also talked to some other people who have bought their booster from this company and they were pretty happy, so I think as far as home boosters go, cellboosterstore.com is a pretty reliable source. I just hope the car booster works as well as the home booster. Thanks for your help

www.wilsoncellular.com markets a similar device for the home or auto. They don't sell online though and will instead refer you to your nearest local dealer. I am interested in getting one for my home, but I might look into what you have as well. Thanks!

I recently invested in a cell phone booster and I think it's been a pretty smart investment. My reception at home is immaculate and I am not suffering from frequent dropped calls. I bought my machine from www.cellboosterstore.com, and I am very happy with their service. My buddy bought one from them and couldn't use it , got all his money back no problems so I highly recommend them. But now I want to fix my car reception, does anyone here know of a good cell booster for the car?
