    Victoria, my story is almost identical to yours.....They sent mine all the way to a lawyer despite my disputing the claim. The customer service was horrible. I ended up having to pay the 200.00 or go to court and pay the lawyer fees and I didnt sign a contract either. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone and I have a feeling this may happen more than we think. Apparently we have to honor a contract that does not provide the service.

    get a car antenna and mount it in a place that gets kickass reception. your phone is now a wired phone, but at least it works at home. great for basement suites. the car antennas usually have better range than the antenna built in anyways.

    ultimately, if that doesnt work, you can explain to tmobile that the phone is usd for business purposes, and since there is little no no coverage, they will cancel your connection for you without chargin the fee, its what they do for business customers, i would know, i worked for them

    yep... they can have your name, address and all that all on a form, but if its not signed then its not valid. you may have have verbally agreed, but that doesnt mean anything. just because its filled out, its the signature that ultimately confirms you agreed to the terms. i would suggest making copies of that unsigned contract incase something happens. u never know they might try to forge something

    u made a good decision contacting a BBB. they will definetly be able help you out and tell you what to do next if tmobile keeps harassing you. just remember to keep track of your checking account/ credit card statements and make sure there arent any unauthorized charges

    as for the rep who sold you the phone and plan, this is the type of mistake that'll probaly get him fired

    i hope so..i got it from an authorized dealer he made me fill out my information but ..isnt he suppose to make me sign the contract and give me a copy of it? It doesnt look like a copy but..its the contract and it has a line where i guess i was suppose to sign and date..and obviously he left that part out..so i don't know for sure.

    whoa i'm no lawyer but if that contract isnt signed then they cant touch you. if your signature isnt on that line saying you agreed to the terms bla bla then they got nothin on you. unless u bought the plan and authorized it online or over the phone then they might have a case. if u purchased the phone and contract at the dealer and are absolutely certain you didnt sign any papers then you might have caught a lucky break this time

    Ok so here is the deal. I had a t-mobile phone it was a smart access plan for a year contract. I had 14 days to cancel...well it worked ok for the first month and a half i would get bad reception sometimes and sometimes it would hang up but not often..then i started getting bad reception all the time and it would hang up all the time, it got so bad that i had to crouch near my window to get reception inside i would get 1 bar, not much more outside. Tmobile provides service to my area they said. Good service. But at 2 months down the line and im getting bad service close to none..so i try a new phone, that doesnt work its obviously the reception and service and the area im in. WHat can i do? I have no choice but to cancel..why pay for a phone service that does not work in my area? They slam me with a 200 dollar early termination fee! I knew there was a termination fee but i feel this is wrong because..i would still be there customer if i had gotten good service in my area, i cancled because i could not get enough or good reception to use to my phone. I am outraged. I tried to stay with them even buying a new phone..i feel the 200.00 should be left go seeing as how i paid up my balance..and i only canceled because i got bad service in my area..also i noticed i have the contract , its not signed though..i didnt realize that up until this point..would that help me in not having to pay the 200 dollars? Tried calling the tmobile reps they wouldnt budge..i submitted it to the Better Business Bureau because now tmobile is threatning me with collection agencies. I feel thats wrong. I just got bad service in my area after awhile, that is not my fault. Can anyone help me save 200 dollars here???? ANY SUGGESTIONS???
