Hello Malu!! do you have any response for your problem??? I have exactly the same situation and at this time I cant use the PC SW with my phone!!!

I have the same problem, i think the are selling the cellphone with a very old software from 2003, i hope that complains like ours make lg to do something to solve this problem....

besides, i cant make an mp3 a ringtone, i dont know why, even though i set it, it stills ring with the awful Tone1
