I know several people who have a Treo that never use the internet on it. I personally use the internet on my Treo 650 more than I talk on it, it's just the person I guess.

Also, I would like to note that Sprint's Data Package (Vision) is $30 cheaper per month than Verizon. So, if you want the data I would definitely consider Sprint.

Sorry to bring up a near dead thread, but yes you don't have to subscribe to the data package. Also, I would wait for the Treo 700p (Palm OS) or just get a Treo 650. I'm not a fan the Windows Mobile OS.

I am getting ready to purchase the Palm 700. I've used a Palm Pilot for over 10 years, a cell phone for longer & want to consolidate into a single devise. I have no interest in the web/data component -- Is there a way to "turn off" those aspects of the application(s) so it doesn't inadvertantly launch & I get hit with a huge bill? Advise would be greatly appreciated.
