-Sound quality between the 2 (speakerphone, and earpiece) in clarity, loudness etc.
-Reception ( i hear in some cases sanyo's get great reception where samsungs do not)
-Battery life and talk time (I hear the battery life on the blade is terrible. Can it at least go a day and a half with normal usage?)
-The OS(opertaing system[i.e. is it slow like the razr's, or fast like the sanyos]).
-Does it support text messaging w/o having to sign online?(I hear the os freezes when texting long messages, but was fixed with a software upgrade. Info?)
-Durability, im kinda prone to dropping my phone from time to time so this is important.
Any more comparative info would be greatly appreciated.
    I would suggest a a900.

Battery life is good I love mine I play music all day pretty much and only lose like a bar..

Reception is okay really I don't think I even gotten bad reception yet depends on area.

I never droped my a900 on the ground, hey you can get a few scratches here or there but its a flip it wont get scratched on the screen unless it falls from there... I usually keep the little screen cover on.

my mom has a snyo.. ehh don't like it but reception is fine.

my wife has the 8300 and i have the blade and its no comparison. The blade or 900 is by far a better phone in every way but one. The battery life sucks on it. There is an extended battery but i don't have it yet so i can't say how much it helps. The funny thing is, since i got the phone the battery has got way better on its own and i use the phone just as much as ever. Hope this helps

Further more, if you roam a lot the battery will only last a day or a little less. If you don't roam, I get two days out of mine, 3/4 of a day when it roams. As far as dropping it, i have dropped mine twice and no problems so far, however having seen the abuse that the 8300 takes, the 8300 would win the showdown easily. Sound, clarity, loudness, screens, pictures all better imo with the blade.

I also believe that i get a slight edge in the reception department

Stick with your Sanyo. The 900 will probably break in half the first time you look at it the wrong way.
