I have the white battery in my i450. My son has the white battery in his i415 and his can go 2 days.

im thinking it may be a phone problem that its draining the battery life. but odd that this is the second one that best buy replaced and same results.

anyone else with the i450 having short battery life?

sounds funny saying it, but is the battery black or white? i have seen with black batteries they tend to die sooner. if i have a white one in my i870, it usually goes 2 days easy without charging.....now my sidekick 2 battry life on the other hand......

Nextel/Boost phones generally don't have the battery life of a GSM or CDMA phone. My roommate has an i450 and more or less has to charge it daily, especially if he goes into an area with poor or no reception, which drains the battery even more because the phone has to work harder to keep/find a signal. If you use the 2-way radio function, it uses a bit more battery power as well.

There's probably more to it than that, but that's what I know from my roommate's phone, which I got him as a "getting divorced" gift.

I speculate that Nextel phones use a lot more power to transmit a strong signal, which is why they make my tv and speakers click and hum 2 seconds before they start ringing. That doesn't generally happen with Cingular or Sprint in my experience, but I always know when the i450 is gonna ring.

I have an i450 boost/nextel phone for 3 weeks and the phone just drains the battery life from it. i did pay the extra $10 for a 2 year protection plan at best buy and 3 days ago i returned the phone, battery and charger for a replacment no questions asked. well now this is the 2nd i450 and this one also has a short battery life as well.

i leave for work at 6am and by noon time its at half strength. not thats it a huge problem i have my nokia from t-mobile and that phone last for 3 days. but i do need the walkie talkie feature which is why i have this phone on the boost premium $49.99 plan.

is there anything i can do with the phones options that can save battery time or maybe there is a more powerfull battery out there i can purchase?

    thanks for any help.

    chris
