Well, I googled "toll free" "cell phone" and found there are services that can offer you a toll free number on a cell phone if your own service provider cannot. They work like "call forwarding".

As far as 900 numbers, I'm not very familiar with how they work but I once knew a 900-number "operator" who could call in and have the incoming calls sent to whatever number she specified, they were forwarded to her, if that's any help to answer your question.

Okay thanks again Brad you are really helpful and make it seem so simple but I must tell you I am not good at searching for things but I am learning now I am going to try to find the person who owns that number I did search for a minute with the area code and number and they say no number found but I will keep on looking for awhile. Do you know if it is possible to buy a cell phone using a 800 or 900 area code.
    Thank alot

No need to be sorry, I found the area code for ya, put the thread where other people looking for a similar answer might find it, and helped you out by telling you a good way to find stuff in the future. Google is my homepage, you can find anything with google if you know the right combination of keywords. Here is a great google trick that a lot of people don't know: if you want to search for something, and get too many results, you can exclude words with a minus sign. Let me see if I can think of a good example....

    Google - "alien abduction" -fraud

By excluding the word "fraud" from my alien abduction search, I've been able to find lots and lots of people who actually believe they or someone they know has been carried off into outer space, or people who want to help them relive those memories

Hi jean, welcome to our site! Cleveland's Area Code is 216, I found it with the search engine Google and some well-placed keywords with quotation marks. I'm moving your thread to the General Cell Phone forum because New Member Help is for site-related stuff. Don't worry, happens all the time.

Here is an example of the keywords I used to find your info.

    "Cleveland, OH" "Contact us"

Hello Everyone I am new here I was wondering if there is away that I can find out the area code to a cell phone number that I have . I have searched and searched and I can't seem to find out how to do it. I have the phone number but I need to know the area code in order for me to find out who the number belongs too. If you could tell me how to go about it I would really appreciate it. It is a number located in Cleveland Ohio but when the call came in it just said cellular call without the area code. The prefix for the number is 298 and I need the area code in order to find out which wireless company carries that prefix.

    Thanks alot
