No, all you need is a $5 part called a Flex Cable. You can find one on ebay that matches your model. Don't feel bad, I've done this plenty of times myself

I have a A670 but the cable that runs from the mobo to the lcd screen is busted because I broke the hinge, and now the cables have ripped off. Would is better to buy a used, non working phone to fix this, or order new parts in?
