    They won't force you to renew your contract, but they may try to talk you into changing your plan. Just tell them you love your existing plan and have no intention of changing anything, because that's what would cause your contract to renew.

    No, it will not renew your contract but it will extend the time until you are eligible for a upgrade rebate. You can just go into a direct Sprint store so they can do the swap for you or call CS and ask them to do a ESN swap.

    I searched the forum but the search results are very broad; anyways, I have a sprint plan since mid 2003 and got the sanyo 8100, after a few months I thought it was stolen from my luggage on a trip to Mexico but has since been found. I have a 3 yr old sanyo 8100 that I bought when I thought the other one was stolen and it looks 3yrs old now. So now I want to replace it with the one that was on their first and lost 3yrs ago. So the questions is...1) Do I need to resign a contract to switch them out? I have been told that they force you to renew your contract and wanted to know.....Thanx
