Probably because they re-signed their contract to get a crappy discount on a new phone. I find that deal to be a bunch of bull.

I always see it like this. If sprint makes a mistake, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!! I have gotten 2 months completly free because of their mistakes. You can sometimes even bend the truth to get ummm, stuff. My favorite is, download a game or whatever, use it and call and complain about it somehow. Tell them anything, they give you your money back and you get to enjoy it until you delete it or get a new phone.

When I worked for Sprint, I learned that if you call and complain about a dropped call, they give you a credit on your bill. I forgot how much it is, and I'm sure it's still avaliable. I have had sprint more than enough times, and overall, I like them very much. Enough to get a job working for them.

Sprint and T-Mobile are both very good companies. Everyone I know with T-Mobile is happy with the service. The advantage of Sprint over T-Mobile is better rural and roaming coverage. T-Mobile has excellent service around town but when you start travelling out of town you'll notice the difference.

Call this number: 1.877.812.1223. That's the business care hotline, and when I have problems I call them. The reason is, 1) you will speak to a Native speaker of English (not outsourced overseas), 2) they seem to be more knowledgeable and willing to help than the people I get dialing *2, and 3) there is usually little or no waiting time when you call that hotline. Sorry to hear about your bad experience, but hopefully the business care reps will help you get it straightened out. (I'm not a business client either, I have a family share plan like you, don't worry they will help you anyway)

same for me, i have been with sprint for about 3 months
i am on a family plan thats 69.99
first month bill came out $174, i just paid it since.. i thought maybe because of activation fee...and downloaded a few songs/ringtones
i paid it online, and since then i havnt even received a bill yet (didnt even receive my 1st bill too)
i get a phone call from sprint saying i owe them $470 for 2 months of usage..
    WTF>???
i jus checked my account online for sprint.. and it says all that extra charge is from "pcs data"
i dont even try to use the internet thing, i checked my email like 4 times and thats it
my wife doesnt use the internet or anything else on her phone to download anything.
only thing we do alot would be she sends me alot of pics, but we already pay $5/month EACH , so why the hell should we be gettin charged for this per pic being sent?
I am so extremly upset about this.. this is too crazy.... doesnt make any sense..
I need a way out ... or a good reason to stay in...
1 big question tho.. should i talk to a sprint rep in person at a store or call their customer service number?

I don't understand why so many people hate Sprint. My sister's had it for five years, and it's been fine. A few other people in my family have switched, and my mom got a free phone that I've been using. I think they're much better than Verizon when it comes to overages and charges, etc. although I think the Sprint network is now bigger than Verizon's, at least here out west. The way I see it, Cingy and Verizon are the best in the east coast, whereas Sprint and T-Mobile are better in the west. At least that's my experience.

You know as well as I do that Nextel and Sprint use different technologies and just because they are one company you can't say you hate Sprint because of your Nextel service; it's apples and oranges. If you're getting poor service through Nextel, you can switch to a Sprint plan with no ETF and they even have some new dual-mode phones coming out soon where you can use Sprint for voice and iDEN for the PTT.

I think sprint is a Great Carrier (true i dont like the idea of being under contract with anyone for 2 years) but they do have a 30 day return policy if you dont like their svc. You can return the equip with no penalty.

It didn't show up on your bill? My bill us usually 76+ pages, but I've learned to check over it every month to make sure I recognize all the charges. It's not really a "hidden charge" if they printed it on your bill and you didn't notice for a year.

I have been with Sprint since about August 1999 and on my 5th upgrade. They have been really good to me with only a few issues but nothing bad enough to make me want to switch to another. My wife is going on her 3rd year with them and she is also happy.

I have been with Sprint for 3 months now. I have had a couple of disputes with them, but they more than made me happy.

They shut my phone off on the 4th of July when I changed to a business plan due to a “glitch” in their system. I called to cancel my service since it was the second time it happened. Retention saved me.

Sprint has a retention service that is to die for. They gave me a Treo 700p for free, an a900 for free, and upgraded my plan (free unlimited texting, free ultimate Vision, free insurance, free nights and weekends at 6 for no extra charge) and added both my employer discount and a loyalty discount. I started with a 80$ free incoming plan, and now I pay about 65$ for everything.

Reception is another story. I never drop service until I leave the city. Even then, they have a lot of towers following us 131 and i96/196 so even then, I have coverage about 90% of the time. I roam in my apartment which drives me crazy but that’s alright, they gave me free roaming to make up for it.

All in all, sprint is the only way to go.

I have been with Sprint for two yrs now, I think they are doing a good job so far with their service.

    Its just my opinion
