For the typical CDMA connection the encyryption is so great that its impossible to be "hacked" into. Very secure just like the voice feature, cannot be intercepted unlike the old "analog" signal which was about as secure as a C.B. radio.

Has anyone ever heard of a mobile phone being 'hacked' without the 'hacker' stealing the user's log-in information con artist style.

honestly, i would worry about banking on your computer over you phone, computer is prone to virus, trojan etc while a cell phone wouldnt be, true there is a SMALL chace it could happen, but what are they gonna due? loook where u spend $. Online banking(at least for me) doesnt show more than the last 4 digits of anything

I tried going to my bank from the WAP browser once and they had this big bold warning that I was not accessing their site through a secure connection! Therefore, I don't do it. Instead, I use my bank's automated telephone account info if I'm away from the computer.
