    You can add anything you want. It does not make the file size smaller. Ringtones should only be 10 - 15 seconds long. after that it goes to voice mail. It is not for putting an entire song on your phone.

    There is a free program you can download called Bitpim, That you can convert your MP3's into ringtones. As long as you have a USB cable you can transfer it onto your phone. Its a really sweet program! Google it!

    does the data let you add any song you want into the pone? and does it make the mp3 smaller?

    With a data cable and software, you can upload ringtones from your computer to phone (depending on the model of your phone). I have mp3's uploaded as ringtones but midi's can be used also.

    What is the ringtone format for the LG phones? and is there away you can add your own ringtones into the LG w/o downloading it from ur service provider?
