Yeah last I heard they where still being held, but their lawyer (sp) was trying to get them released. Looks like someones getting sued real soon. Seemed kind of odd to me that if they were terrorists and were going to use the phones as detonators for bombs: why buy so many? are they planning on blowing up alot of stuff? and if so: why not buy them from a direct wholesaler, they would save alot of not to mention wouldn't draw so much attention to themselves. Btw this message will self distruct in 60 seconds. As to not give dumb terrorists any ideas.

But it's suspected that the money made was being sent to help aid terrorism. No comment was made by any arresting official
I'm from MI, too. This is a different incident than what Aepple was talking about. I think that the three guys that were caught by near Caro, MI are still being held. Thay haven't been linked to terrorism. One thing that concerns be about this case is that the Mackinaw Bridge authority and the police were not even contacted. They heard about the situation from the media.

Bet you $100 CPF bucks that they would not have reported this income on their tax returns. If they sold 1000 cell phones, thats $18,000 in untaxed income.

Oh come to find out, their not terrorist the pictures of the bridge were because the where tourists not terrorists, and they where just trying to make money and couldn't do it in Dallas because there are too many ppl doing it there.

I went on a plane on Friday carrying 7 cell phones in my carry on luggage. No one asked me a thing ?

In fact, I actually brought 7 cell phones, 2 notebook computers and 1 Globalstar satellite phone in my carry on luggage. Everything x-rayed and that's it, no problems, walked away without a question asked to me.

Prosecutors say they are confident the men are linked to a terrorist network and filed additional felony charges Thursday relating to the buying and selling of specific microchips found in only a few types of cell phones.
