Well, I already got an answer with a solution from another forum.

We don't recommend trying to unlock your own phone unless you REALLY know what you're doing, exactly for this reason. If you enter the wrong unlock code too many times, you'll lock the SIM and might as well throw away the whole lot. I highly recommend before you do anything else to that phone, take it to someone who knows what they're doing and ask them if it's too late, did you already fry it or can they unlock it for a small fee.

I have been given a GD87. Following the wrong advice, I introduced the wrong unlock code several times and now, after 746 and OK twice, I get "please wait to re-enter code". How could I overcome this problem?

I have read that a data cable, after blocking pins 4 and 10, is adequate to unlock the phone. Is that right? Will the use of a cable also sort out the "please wait to re-enter code" issue?

I would really appreciate some sound advice.

    Thank you

    ule
