The BEST earphones I found are the stock Sansa ones that come with the e260

That's a shame, I too have seperate MP3 players but I picked the phone because I actually liked the 'phone' features first and the camera/MP3 were just a bonus feature. I just hate to waste features The headset that comes with these really sucks for comfort and I was hesitating ordering another because I have yet to find an ear bud type headphone that I can wear and sounds good.

oh well it's still is a nice phone and I can actually download my own MP3 ringtones (even though the manual says you can't) which is a nice feature.

No problem, everyone's a first-time buyer once. I'm no expert on Samsungs, but in my experience some things may appear identical and that would lead you to believe they are cross-compatible, but if it's not listed as compatible it's probably not. For example, practically all Motorola phones (except the newer ones) use the same battery charger, or at least they all look the same, but if you plug one into a non-compatible phone it will tell you on the screen that it's the wrong charger (even though it looks exactly like the correct charger). I'll send a message to Robb, the Samsung moderator, and ask him to look at your thread. Maybe he knows something I don't.

If you look half way down the page you will see a "3.5mm stereo music adatper with mic" and right below a "handsfree adapter for samsung cell phones". The one with the mic doesn't list the T609 while the other does.
Don't they have the same headset plug? This is my first Samsung phone so excuse my ignorance of the standards they may or may not follow.

It's not uncommon for an accessory to be compatible with several models, especially all from the same manufacturer. Try google and you'll find lots of online stores selling t609 accessories.

Or, there's always ebay. Hope this helps... but I get the feeling it's redundant information.

Does anyone know where I can get some headset accessories for this. In particular I am looking for a headphone adapter so that I can use better headphones that those that came with it. I found ONE on daydeal.com but I got confused when I saw that is was compatible with a multitude of other Samsung phones and yet some adapters (like the ones with integrated mic) were only compatible with a subset of those phones. Are the pinouts different? Does anyone have the pinouts for the headset jack?

Any advice is appreciated.
