haha sorry for the badly worded question. i meant how i can use just any mp3 as a txt tone. I tried looking into settings and the only tones that the menu allowed me to use is the default ones provided.

i think it is on most phones, i know it is on mine... i've got it under Menu > Tools & Settings > Sounds Settings > Alert Sounds > TXT Message > Tone > and then you select the location (My Ringtones/My Sounds, etc.) of the music/sound file that you want. is that what you're asking? are you also asking how to get a customized mp3 onto your phone?
