It should be easy to install. If you have problems, you can always come back to the forums and post a new thread and ask.

That's because Verizon likes to monopolize on things like this, and they've disabled your ability to download the app to your phone so you can buy whatever similar product they offer. Sorry.

    ummm... maybe you need glasses.

He just said it's free. It's in the title and in his message.

    I say it again...

FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE

All you need is the unlimited data plan on your cell phone. The Google Maps is support on most cell phones. But check the list to see if your phone is on there.

is this is a free application, but does it cost money to use?

    I love this feature!!
And like it's been said before....get a data package from your provider, because this application uses a lot of kilobytes! A very, very wise decision.

So far lots of people like it including me. You forgot to mention that they even have traffic updates on it too.

I was browsing the forums about a week ago and saw a little ad for Google Maps for Mobile, free download. I decided to try it out and so far I'm impressed, I've used it several times already and thought it was awesome. Keep in mind that data charges will apply if not already included in your plan, these charges can add up to a lot of money if you're not paying for unlimited use.

Check it out, Google Mobile Maps, I like it a lot so far, and since it's beta (read their user agreement!) I'm sure there will be future improvements, I'll be sure to check that I always have the latest version.
