After a couple weeks of use I'm very happy with this phone. Gotten used to the antanae location and is not a problem. Bluetooth works wonderfully, I can keep the phone in my pocket while talking. Voice quality is superior, most people don't even know I'm on a cell phone. Reception is excellent in my area. Verizon pretty much has the whole state covered. Camera is adequate, but not great like other phones on the market but if I want to take pictures I use a real camera anyway so who cares. This phone is a phone first and foremost, and it does a great job. If you want the latest multimedia gadgets then this phone is not for you but if you want a phone that makes great calls with a strong battery with a slim profile then look no further than the Samsung a870. You will be pleased.

Had mine a week, the battery is an energizer bunny, I never get complaints when I'm on speakerphone from the caller on the other end. I like that there is no external antenae and I hate that there is no external antenae. I cannot hold the phone like I would prefer because it would require me to place my finger on the antenae area, but I'm sure I'll get used to it in time. The call quality is great even with only one bar. It fits nicely in my pocket, the only thing I don't like is that the keypad is too flat. I prefer a raised keypad like the LG 8300. Bluetooth works nicely, I use a Moto H700. This is not a fancy phone at all but it has all the basics that you need and outperforms more expensive phones on the features that it does have.

I hear this phone is one of the most solid ones in Verizon's lineup. Nothing too fancy just a solid offering with much of what you want. How is voice quality?
