    Yep, version 4 does all of that. However, the speakerphone is not really all that useful. It is very quiet, and tinny. Version 4 does allow you to choose between 1 or 2 button unlock. It will also make your menus move a little faster.

    Well I called around and found that this is true. You can bring it to Verizon and they will flash it for you. Takes about 30mins. Also, you know when you have to hit the mic button twice to activate controls. Well now you only have to hit it once. It updates the phone to Version 4

    I overheard the Tech's at Verizon say that there is a newer software version for the VX8500. They said something about Speaker Phone. Is this true? Does anyone have a link for this. Anyone can tell me what all the other options are when you hit Menu and then hit 000000. Some new option screen shows up.
