Yeah i understand! LOL with as many people online as there were at the time I figured there would have been a reply, but im not upset. I think i made a wise choice. The katana seems to be a quick razor clone. Its a great phone im sure but im going to stick with this new samsung for a while. Then when im ready for a new one this contact will be over and I can choose a different provider i think.

I would have went with A640 also, the Katana is just thinner. Sorry I didn't get to reply to your thread earlier, it's just I logged on like 30 minutes ago. You didn't give much time either though, only like 3 hours.

ok well no one responded to this thread. I ended up going with the A640 because it can do everything the Katana can accept the external picture ID. But I got readilink instead. And for only 10 bucks per phone I got a great deal!

hey guys. i have the option of upgrading my phone for the new customer price today. I was looking at compairing the Samsung A640 and the Sanyo katanna. The Katanna would cost me about 100 to buy today and the samsung would only be about 20.

The samsung can do everything the katanna can do and more. Obviously it would be smarter to get the samsung.

Here is my question. Can the samsung a640 display the picture ID of who is calling on the EXTERNAL view screen?

The sales rep will be calling any minute please help. Thanks
