Cingular offers insurance for the phone but most reps don't know insurance is offered by an out side company that they use, however the company never sends out thier updates. The reason they don't offer it right away is simply because Cingular places the original order to the manufacture by the 100k and once the phone is in researve at Samsung the insurance company may purchace the branded phone for their warehouse. I have worked for Cingular/Att for 11 years.

I wouldn't count on it. The LG CU 320 and Samsung ZX-10 are still not insurable and they were among the first 3G phones Cingular carried. Do not expect the Sync to be insured for a good while.

the "service contract" = extended warranty, cingular wont offer one all I have is the one year manufactures warranty so if I drop it, loose it or otherwise damage it ..........I will have to pay retail for another phone.

mobile protech looks good but they dont offer phone support, have you used them? are they legit?
    thanks

Hey Mark, I was not putting down the A707's bluetooth but rather the LG CU 500's. Samsung has a great reputation with bluetooth and after having and using the d357 and d807 I have had no qualms or problems with the Samsung's bluetooth. Its a great phone with a great camera, but for my purposes it was not an option. However I am in no way putting the devices down, for the time I spent on it I found it very user friendly as well as functional.

    Hello Everyone
I am brand new here to the forum and want to introduce myself! I am Mark from Florida and so excited about my new cell phone I purchased the samsung SGH-a707 just last night, I am a cingular wireless customer and they had a promotion for the phone so it cost me only $49.99,I had a Motorola razrv3 for 2 years and I like the clamshell design, thats another reason the Samsung was appealing.
I have one BIG issue with the phone and I hope some of you folks in here can help.Cingular wireless DOES NOT offer phone insurance for the SGH-a707,and of course now is the time I will drop the phone, loose it or run it over with the car!! I have been looking for a reputable cell phone replacement insurance company and cannot seem to find any that have a phone number to contact them, or any that are based in the USA,any advice here? I googled many keywords for cell phone insurance, replace cell phone, extended warranty cell phone ect... and come up virtually with no "good" companies that can insure my new phone.

Anyone know of any cell phone insurance providers that will cover theft, damage, ect...??

and also post here and say hello to me! I look forward to being a member here for some time,if you have the same phone I do , please share your expierence I hope this turns out to be a relaible phone, (I do have 30 days to return it ) so any advice ESPCIALLY where to buy phone insurance is appreciated!
