The exception is being caused by the fact that Telus doesn't use Brew. Go Here for some excellent info on how to load ringtones and games.

I recently bought a data cable from MobileAction for my Samsung phone so I could transfer ringtones/wallpapers from my PC. I read topics relating to my issue (particulary the ones on here with Limedrink), but have not been able to get BitPim to recognize the phone (a650 is only listed with Verizon as the carrier; I have Telus). I've done everything listed in theactor1977's thread (since this is my first post, I'm not allowed to post any links), and BP still gives me an exception error. Any ideas?

The cable is recognized by my computer; as well, my phone says "USB CONNECTED" so I don't think it's the cable. Could it be the coding in BitPim or something? =\
