They may also be VBR apparently if the first few seconds are under 192kbps. Samsung also claims the phone can play aac format, but I have not tested this.
From samsung's KB:
The file formats or file types supported on the SGH-d807 are as follows:
Ringtones: iMelody, SMAF, MIDI, SP-MIDI, MP3, AAC
Polyphonic Capability: 40 Note
Wallpaper/Screen Saver: JPEG, GIF, AGIF, WBMP, BMP, PNG
Image Association:
Contact
Wallpaper
Games: .jar, ,jad
Camera Image Format: .jpg
Camcorder Video Format: .3gp
Media Player: .mp3, .mp4, .acc, .3gp...
Menu -> My Stuff(7) -> Music(4) -> My Music(2) This should show the music you have transferred to the phone. Press Options(left softkey), scroll down to Move to memory card(7), push the silver select key, then check the song(s) you want to move (or All). Then push Move(left softkey). Now they will be on the memory card under 'Music'.
BTW, I highly recommend buying an USB SD card reader/writer. It is, quite literally, at least 50x faster than bluetooth. (100x if you got the Ultra2 like me ) Using bluetooth to fill up 1GB would take over 2 hours, not counting the time it takes to move it from the phone to the card many, many times.
