Oh, by theway, I think I really like the a900m. Even if I can't access the contact list.

Sounds as good as my a880 or 1000, and has the speakerphone, is very much lighter! Seems to maintain signal strength better, feels better in my hand, screen is larger and easier to see. Battery life may be an issue. It apears that it was better with the 880.

Overall we are glad we got them (wife has one too).

Thanks, I did not know exactly what I was looking for as far as file name. But these files are not accessable with the USB connection. It's going to take some software to be able to extract them.

Reading posts around the internet the ability to upload/download the contact list was in demand for this phone. I have been searching for a way but with no success. Samsung site FAQ says Sprint a900m is not capable of this and sprint tech says it is not capable.

    Anyone know different?

well, I flashed my a900 firmware which was zf02 to zf17 which is the version of the 900m. There have been many improvements. Well, it may differ. I flashed mine with firmware that came from sprint, so I fuged up my internet because it always wants to connect to vision service. Anyways, at least with the Sprint firmware, T9 has improved drastically. It will learn, you can add words (though looking for t9 settings is difficult) and it now sports a new word comleation etc. Menu browsing has improved to near "real-time". I heard BT has improved but not tested myself as I don't use BT. Sprint has a new menu system which includes "themes" with a dashbar like interface which is pretty cool, but you can't customize the quicklaunch (shame). I forget what other features there are, but it looks like most of the work has been done under the hood. Also GPS functionality was reported to be fixed but I couldn't test it myself because flashing with Sprint firmware fuged up my internet connecntivity.

Since i'm here. If anyone EVEN someone from BELL CS, could you PLEASE send me the most up to date firmware or any firmware from a bell a900.06b. zh02 or later.

the metal case is one of the features that made me buy the a900 aka blade... i agree it has some bugs but i love mine...

when I heard a900m, i was like "I thought they were going to make the a900p, but nope, lol, it's the same thing. It really doesn't look that much different, and as for the features? Ehh, they should really do a complete software check before sending it out to the public, but hey, the public wants it now (with no defects, go figure )! Good thing is the PAM support, but no GPS fixes? C'mon! Gonna get people lost like that!

So im not sure if this was posted or not, but I was recently searching for some info on the upcoming a900m (blade 2 if you wanna call it that) and according to the description on the site, it says its pretty much the same, only with less metal on the case, a more customizable interface, a fixed GPS bug and "very minor cosmetic changes"

So, is this just the same phone with more plastic and a few more features? I was kinda hoping for all the minor bugs to be fixed (i.e. picture caller ID, speakerphone volume, battery life...) than to have them just add onto the features list. It seems like Samsung is just trying to make a phone with everything possible and then some, but is leaving out some of the more important key features of a cell "phone"

Since I cant link to the site due to my low post count, just google "samsung a900m" it should be the very first result from pcsintel
