Sorry to say it, but start breaking that bad news. No other way around it. The only thing BT is good for on Verizon's phones is for using a headset.

Is this true for transferring from phone to phone within the verizon spectrum as well?
If so, that's just completely lame, I have 2 LG phones I'm trying to transfer some songs to and from, and it's driving me crazy, but I guess if that's the case my quest is finally over.
God I'm glad I have cingular and my beautiful w810.
    *sigh*
now to break the bad news to my aunt.

No problem, glad to help. A bunch of my friends made the switch because Verizon pretty much made the BT function on their phones useless. And why even have Bluetooth if you can't even use it for file transfer?

Alright. To start out with. I have a old Motorola Razr ((The one were you can change the theme and everything)). My mom ((The transfering phone)) have this type of Pocket PC Verizon Phone, Touch screen, dont know the model. We both have Verizon wireless and she has free internet. I am downloading ringtones from the internet on her phone, thinking I am going to be able to send them through blue tooth, but everytime I try to do the "Beam File" opion, it finds my phone as blue tooth, but it says it fails after it pends for about 5 seconds. Any idea's on what is going on. If you need to ask more questions, ask, I will give an information that will help for this, thanks
