You were actually the first person to respond to my post. I have since purchased a Cingular 2125 smartphone which I like quite a bit. As for finding a regular phone to synch, I don't know of any, I am sure that there are, but you can't get any information from the sales reps at the stores as they only have a cusory knowledge of any of their products. I have a friend who has the Cingular BlackJack and likes it quite a bit as well...

I have this exact same question, and I can't for the life of me figure out why it doesn't seem like anybody offers this simple feature. I had a phone 6 years ago that did just this, and when I "upgraded" I lost that feature, and haven't found it again since. I'm with Sprint, but I'll go wherever I can find Outlook synch on a non-pda phone.

    Anyone?

    All,

First of all, thanks for checking out my question. I appreciate your time!

Here is the deal. I am a current Verizon customer who has a VX6700, let me tell you, it is a GREAT PDA, but for me, as a phone, it isn't what I am looking for. I have had to replace it three times (and I am a very light user) and the bulk and just the effort required to dial a number, isn't what I am looking for. I am looking for a device which is a phone first, a pim second. I checked with verizon, cingular, and cincinnati bell (local att dealer) and the CSR's didn't seem to think that any of their non-PDA phones can synch contacts and calendar with Outlook. I don't know if this is a way to try to sell the PDA phones or if they just aren't trained in anything but the basics of the phones. That as it may be, I know that the Motorola Razr can synch with Outlook via the Motorola Phone Tools software, while it isn't great, it gets the job done. Now what I am looking for ideally, is for a phone where I can synch my contacts and calendar between the phone and the pc. The issue I have with the razr is that it creates a new contact for every phone number, so if you have numbers for Joe Schmoe for his home, business, and cell, instead of placing these numbers under one contact and allowing you to select the primary number you want, it actually creates (3) different contacts, which is just a huge oversight if you ask me.

So when it all comes down to it, I know that there are phones out there which aren't PDA or Smartphones, which can synch with Outlook, if someone can direct me to those which can, I would really appreciate it. I don't need to stay with Verizon and am open to any vendor which can provide this. Your input is desperately needed.

    Thank you

    Scott
