[QUOTE=lam190]Hey, have you tried, Datapilot, there website says it works with sch-a870

Yes, indeed, they do claim to support the features I was interested in. Thanks for the tip. For the life of me I could not find anything for this phone using my best web search skills. Unfortunately, I have ditched the A870 since I wasn't satisfied with the camera, and was disgusted with the data transfer issue. I got the LG VX8300 which has an excellent camera (though only the usual 1.3 megapixels) with flash, and takes a micro SD card that you can plug right into the PC to transfer data. Thanks to all who replied.

Thanks for the suggestion, Robb, I had not heard of easyStudio, but on researching it, it's clear that the A870 is not supported Also, while I did not say so in my original post, I am primarily interested in downloading photos from the phone to the PC. Unfortunately, Samsung's explanation of easySTudio says: "File Manager capabilities do not include extraction of data from the handset to a PC or other handset. The options are for transfer of content from PC, to phone only. The transfer of content from the PC would be content such as images specifically compatible with your model phone (format and size) or ringtones."

The only data suite I've been able to find for the Samsung A870 is from Mobil Action. I bought it from Cellphoneshop for $25, and the CD advertises support for contacts, audio, pictures, text, etc. However, the CD actually does not contain the drivers for this phone, and when you download them from the Mobile Action website, you find that this version of their software only supports contact management!! I have asked for my money back from Cellphoneshop. But has anyone found other alternatives for managing data to the PC with this phone?

    Thanks,
    Paul
