I guess I am a little behind the times here. I just purchased the USB cable to get pictures off my phone. My phone is a CDM-8910 by Verizon. The USB cable came with a program but didn't work... only loaded a portion of the program. So, I went and installed the BitPim, and PC Sync like TakenAback had suggested. Now I have the programs the computer cognises the phone and program but the phone isn't listed on Bitpim. On Pc Sync it is asking for password on the port number?

Any help getting my pictures off the phone would be great.

    Thanks

I just purchased a cable for my 8910 and after about four hours of installing and uninstalling bitpim, qpst and pc-sync. I finally was able to get qpst to work but now I cant figure out how to or where to put my ringtones to be able to use them on my phone. I have the photos figured out but I can only go from phone to pc and not from pc to phone. I guess thats alright I really only wanted to download photos to my pc and ringtones too. I had to use the mls number from my phone to do it. QPST kept telling me my SPC was wrong so I found some instructions somewhere on this forum on how to use bitpim to find the mls number. Funny how bitpim sees 8910's file directories but wont recognize in any other way. Can someone help me with my ringtone situation? Thanks

If I follow your instructions, do I even use the PDL-8910 software that I ordered?

Yes, it should work. Since you already bought it, the Picture Downloading Kit is worth using if it works with the drivers included in the PC Sync link above.

You'll also be able to use the other applications as well.

Well, it's too bad that you just went and got that kit believeing it was the only option.

Most people buy a generic 8910 cable off ebay for $8-$10 shipped, and then download Curitel's PC Sync specific to that model phone (TX-115C) plus BitPim or QPST in order to do the same thing. You can use the cable you have, then get the software I mentioned.

Curitel PC Sync for the TX-115C (Includes correct 8910 drivers, Install First):

    BitPim:

Has anyone had success downloading pictures to the PC? I just bought a PDL-8910 Software and Cable Kit but can't get it to work. It won't communicate and suggests not using it due to a Curitel Packet problem not meeting Windows specs. If you are communicating, whos software are you using?
