If you can get Pocket to accept the phones ESN, and if you can get it programmed (Manual or *228), Then yes, It will work. You just wont have the PTT function EVDO, Picture Messaging, etc.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the KX18 with a company other than AMP'd? For example POCKET(Pocket Communications)
