    This sounds like a recipe for trouble. There is no guarantee that any phone you buy in China will work in the USA. As I recall, most of China is on CDMA. You could wind up getting a phone that simply does not work here. There are plenty of reputable guys who import phones from Asia and make sure that they get the right ones. I use Cellular Concepts (cellularconcepts.com - Home) and have had terrific experiences with them. I've only bought unlocked/unbranded phones for years and have had good luck doing so. My recommendation is to think about this before making any mistakes and blowing your money on a phone that won't work back at home.

    I have no idea what they use...but I was hoping to bring back one that is compatible..Little help please if anyone knows.

    I though that the phones in China ran off of 3M technology, not GSM, it that is the case, then the phones from there will not work here. If I am completely out of my mind, then you just need to look for any GSM phone that has both the 850 and 1900 mhtz frequencies on it.
