The iPhone is a popular smartphone developed by Apple Inc. known for its sleek design, user-friendly interface, and advanced features such as a high-quality camera, App Store with a wide range of applications, and strong security measures. It has a large user base worldwide and is well-regarded for its performance and reliability.

I think that the 1st gen. iPhone is overpriced and somewhat outdated and that it won't be very popular with anyone except Apple fanboys or people who want a gadget to show off. Once the price is more sensible and the 2nd gen. iPhone is out then I'll be more interested.

The hooker at the dark end of the bar might look attractive too. Turn on the lights. Opps, you mean under all that caked on make-up, she's 55, not 25?

    LOL.

P.T. Barnum said ... "there's a sucker born every minute." I'm curious as to how many people are gonna be ready to shell out $500 to $600 bucks for yesterday's technology smoothered with some new caked-on makeup.

The eye candy might catch your attention, but there is nothing revolutionary about the iPhone. Simply yesterday's ideas packaged up in a gimmicky shell.

    That's funny. Hillarious actually.

The iPhone will probably cost Steve Jobs his job and for the second time in his career at Apple, he'll probably find himself out on the street unemployed.

Aside from the technical flaws in this product ... and those flaws are many and not small ... Apple has royally screwed up here.

You want to compare the iPod to the iPhone? Cool. When the iPod was brought to market, there was a vacuum. There was no dominant player in the mobile music player game. Jobs and Company created a market. They deserve big accolades for their marketing success with the iPod.

The iPhone world, however, is a WHOLE different scenario. Jobs and Company are not creating a new market, they are entering a FIERCELY competitive market and competing against the likes of Motorola, Nokia, Rim, Samsung and many others. They are not bringing a unique product or a revolutionary product to market, they are bringing an also-ran product to a over-supplied market they have no experience in and no special talents to compete in. They have LOCKED sales distribution to ONE CHANNEL (Cingulbar) with an uncompetitive product and priced themselves above the competition.

What part of any of that mess *****s success?

LOL. HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAAA. You can't get comedy like this just anywhere.

You reference a $600-wannabe-phone-toting taxi driver, but you neglect to tell us what phone he is using today. Was he using a Treo? No? How about a Moto Q? Didn't see that? Maybe a Blackberry? No Blackberry either?

Go looking for that taxi driver next June. Ask him to pull out his cell phone and show it to you. Don't be surprised if what you see is a LG CG225 or a Samsung X507 or a Nokia 6102i ... you know, the ones they give away free today.

The overall market for SmartPhones is small. Walk down any busy street today and watch to see what phones people use. Maybe 15% are SmartPhones. And guess what? Aside from Mr. Jobs' tricks and gimmicks, this phone is already obsolete. And Jobs thinks he is going to market an obsolete phone to the most demanding of cell phone users?

This iPhone is yet another Silicon Valley fantasy that is just smoke and mirrors. Poor Jobs. I hope he has his resume up to date.
