I wonder if the only reason that mine connects at the slower speed is because 1x isn't offered here. If 1x is offered in an area, i wonder if the slower speed is not available and therefor won't connect at all unless the 1x is enabled on the service plan. That would explain why mine connects at the slower speed and both of your's don't.

stickydro09 I would call customer service and have them enable the 1x speed on your account if i were you.

Yes I just called the customer service line. I don't know if they don't have 1x service in all areas but it is worth a try. The only thing wrong with mine was that it couldn't connect at 1x untill they activated it on my account and would time out trying to connect at the lower speed.

It should still connect at the slower speed regardless.

Rob, did you just call the customer service line? I was just under the impression that they didn't offer the 1x service in my area but if it's just due to lack of them "turning it on" for my account, well then... it would... well it would just be like Alltel.

I had the same problem also with my mobile web. Alltel has 1x service but it needs to be activated on your account. its free and I don't know why it isn't activated automaticaly. All I needed to do was call and they activated it. Hope this helps.

There is a system menu in the Axcess Shop Menu that you might be able to use to see if anything is set wrong.

From the main Screen press Menu, 2, 0, 000000.

This should bring you to the Brew Info menu. Of course I'm sure you know, changing anything in this menu could render your phone useless. Well unless you happen to have use for a U420 sized paperweight.

You can browse around in there to see if something may be set wrong. I'd be happy to help you compare your settings with mine if you find something that looks a little weird.

    Hope this helps

Mine tries to connect using a 1x connection, then after failing it says could not connect using 1x, would you like to connect at a slower speed? If I choose yes then it connects but really slow.

What is the error message you're getting?

Yes, it gives an error message after trying to connect for a few minutes.

I can't use Axcess Apps on my new phone. I'll click on the icon, and it looks like it is connecting but it never does. Is there a setting I need to change on my phone?
