is there a way to have a phone disconnected from any network but still operate? i havent checked yet (but probably should) does this phone power up and allow access without sim card in it, cos that would be an easy way to do it

Some Airlines will not allow you to even turn your cellphone on while on the plane. Even if just to listen to mp3's as during that time a call could come in.

It would be best to ask before you even take off.

You're not making a call with the phone, so I don't see why it would matter if you played music through it or not.

just wandering if this phone can be used on a plane, not for calls, just to play mp3's

can this phone be put into flight mode? does it need a firmware update to do so or is there a way to have the phone operate the same as flight mode?
