I honestly don't even know if you could do it if you cloned the ESN. I think either one or the other of the phones would grab the signal.

I may have to look into this one. (not saying I would do anything illegal...but just to see if it can be done and if both phones would get the signal)

It might be possible if you had the same exact phone model and you found someone that knows how to clone ESN's. But that's a longshot and is kind of illegal.

    No, there isn't.

An option would be to get a low-cost prepaid service in your backup phone (PagePlus might be a good fit since you can keep it running for only about $30/year).

I have friend who gave me a used cell phone. It is an LG VX6100. I already have a Motorola phone. What I would like to do is use it as a back up for my work. I would like to keep 1 cell phone phone in my car and the other in my house. Is there a way to program the LG, without going to Verizon, to use on my cell number of my Motorola? Not trying to do anything illegal would just like to have flexibility in my cell phone use.

    Thanks,

    Colorado

PS ~ Any other cell phone secrets for setting up my phones would be helpful. I know these phones will do a lot more than Verizon leads you to believe.
