Nope. The icon on the screen will still display as mMode because the phone was originally for ATTWS. However, it will still have the settings you need to access the web via Cingular's network. Don't worry about, I used to have ATT cell phones that were unlocked to use on Cingular.

Thanks for the reply, but when I do this, should the display change from 'mMode' to 'Media'? I have tried this same procedure a few times before today, it never changes the display from 'mMode' to 'Media' as I would expect...

Any idea what I am missing (other than a clue)?

    here you go

    Nokia USA: Phone Settings

click on standard settings. a new window will open up fo you to fill in the desired fields. the settings will then be delivered to your phone over the air.

Yep, my bad, 'mMode' is what is displayed...

I hate to sound TOO rookie, where on the Nokia web site should I look?

Only thing I found close was:

    https://nokiags.wdsglobal.com/globalJumpPage.html

    ...that didn't help...

I have an unlocked Nokia 3220 using Cingular service, I cannot receive text messages, images, or eMail, everything else functions normally. The bottom right of the display shows 'nMode', other Cingular service Nokia phones I have seen show 'Media', could this be the problem? If it is, anyone know how to convert to 'Media' mode?

    TIA for the assist!
