haha... I actually did a big search yesterday and found the 3GP trick. I appreciate the reply anyhow.

The easiest way I saw is:

    1. Add song to your iTunes library.
    2. Right-click desired song and select 'Convert selection to ACC'
    3. Find the converted file (now a .m4a file) and change the extension to .3gp
    4. Bluetooth/data-cable it over to your 'Music' folder using the 'Transfer Files' operation in Samsung PC Studio.

I was using the 'My Bluetooth Places' way to transfer files and it wouldn't take the 3gp files. Never thought the PC Studio would be different.

I got it figured out how how to add your own ringtones to the T619. I found that if you get winXMedia the free trial version is just fine, that you can change up to 2 minutes of any mp3 into a 3gp file. Then from there you can upload it to your phone and have full access to use ringtone in anyone of your contacts etc. Reply back if any of you need more info. I would glad to be of help to you all

I got this from another forum... no credit to me.

    Step by step:

    1. Select the Scott Stapp song as your ringtone.
    2. Immediately go back into the mp3 list and select the song you want. (When you hit select nothing will happen)
    3. Hit Back. (It will still show the old song as the ringer... ignore that.)
    4. Hit Save.
    5. Enjoy

I've found you can set MP3's as the main ringtone as well as a different ringtone per MyFaves contact using the same method. Haven't figured out how to get it per non-MyFave contacts.

I have the same phone T619 and I tried what your talking about for selecting your ringtone and it does not work. Unless I am doing it wrong. Can you do a step by step tutorial? Thanks

Meh. Not good. There's nothing I can download that will go to 'My Music' and be selectable. Looks like I'm screwed. These ringtones are pitiful.

    Thanks for lookin anyway.

I'm guessing no one has any ideas?

T-Mobile CS is of no help. They had me do a master reset and it didn't bring the song back.

Well in the 'Music' folder (when selecting ringtone) all the custom MP3's you Bluetooth over are grayed out. The only one that you could select was the Scott Stapp song. You would select that song as your ringtone. Then you would go back and select a custom song, hit select, back, save. It would trick the phone into thinking it was allowed to use a custom ringtone.

Well now that there's not a selectable 'Music' file it won't work. I'm trying to either get that song back or I'd be willing to buy a new song from T-Mobile just to give me access to my custom tones.

Can you emphasize on the exploit?

I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally deleted that Scott Stapp song (that came with the phone) off my T619.

I normally wouldn't care but now I can't set any custom ringtones. I used that song to exploit the loophole for setting custom MP3 ringtones. But now that it's gone I have to use the stupid stupid stupid default rings.

Can I get it back somehow or maybe even buy another song from them? I can only find ringtones, no songs.

PLEASE HELP! I don't want to be stuck with cheesy, embarrassing ringtones.

    Thanks - Kevin
