    Vodaphone doesn't use quadband. The band that you are going to be able to use only is 1900 because Vodaphones primarily are on 900/1800/1900, no 850. You would want to check with Cingular if you can be able to use just the 1900 band. Also, you can check your coverage on wirelessadvisor.com. Or just ask around with people who live in your area, and ask them about their reception if they are using unlocked phones that use 900/1800/1900. If your area predominantly uses 850MHz, then your reception is going to be patchy at best.

    Which model of vodafone (or any good jap phones) will work in america (northeast texas) that I can put my Cingular sim card in? Quad band I beleive. Thanks
