    Don't use that product but I've never heard of any cell phone that requires you to turn it off to charge it.

    Please do keep in mind that it is a good idea to "power cycle" any cell phone at least once a day. Power cycling a phone is turning it off and then on again so that it refreshes its handshake with your carrier's towers and networks. Makes you phone work better.
