I would just read everything in the auction carefully. Sometimes the stuff you get can be just plain junk. For example, I purchased a bluetooth headset one time. It worked okay, but the sound quality was just crappy. It wasn't a name brand and just for a couple $$ more I could've gotten a moto one.

I also wouldn't buy any kind of cheap leather case on ebay. There are some good ones out there, but most of the time the verizon cases work the best, and they're not as expensive as they used to be.

Watch where the flash/sd card is shipping from. I had one arrive blank because it was shipped from china and probably put through a magnetic scanner at some point.

has anyone bought accessories form the various ebay sellers and had no problems?
USB data cable, transflash card and reader, battery, car charger.
or is there any real reason to stick with OEM/Vzw items.
My previous VX7000, I bought several accs from ebay and all were fine, but just checking with my fellow Mac'ers.
