I might buy a Siemens phone and am worried about future battery availability since Siemens apparently has stopped manufacturing. If I buy an extra Siemens lithium ion battery now and store it, how long will it remain good?

I mean, in 2 or 3 years of unused storage, how much of its capacity will remain? Do you think I could then start using it and get a normal battery lifespan out of it?

Unfortunately, I live in a hot humid climate and wouldn't be able to keep it in a refrigerator because I'm always travelling. The best I could do would be to put it in an old sock and stash it away in a drawer buried by clothing.

Would appreciate response from someone who knows!
