Hello all, I am new to this forum, in fact this is my first post. My 'problem' is as follows: I am writing a paper about taking a cell phone application idea from conception to development and implementation. I have no technical knowledge of this industry at all other than being able to use my cell phone and its included applications. I have questions such as what OS do cell phones use, do cell phone companies create their own software or is it purchased from 3rd parties, can software be patented, would cell phone companies ever consider an application idea or invention from an individual and if so how would one begin the process. As you can see, I am asking a lot. What I really need is suggestions on either where I can find such info (I have had no luck searching on my own) or a knowledgeable person (or two or three) who would allow me to perhaps contact them directly with questions.
