    Requirement for ringtones:
    1) Max 192kbps bitrate (i recommend 128 to be safe)
    2) LESS than 30 seconds per clip (this is where MP3 to ringtone gold is awesome BECAUSE it is easy to clip with an accurate song representation...you can stop on any note within a song)
    3) Must add from memory card to INTERNAL PHONE MEMORY, of which 21mb exists, enough for about 30-40 <30 second ringtones (only songs may reside on memory and be played on phone...done with playlists!
    4)MP3 format
    5) Constant bitrate only (CBR)...no VBr (variable bitrate)

Thats it!! 30.01 seconds and the phone will say clip not supported. Don't try high quality (320kbps with VBR): its only a phone, not a high fidelity system.

Any other questions, let me know

    Peace

Just keep the bitrate at or under 192 very simple i use wavepad for editing but as was mentioned in the thread there are several good programs available . Plus with wavepad you can really tweak the sound many options .

To put music on the t629, you need to have a microsd card.if you have one already all you need to do is download the music you want but it has to be 192kbps or less.If you use limewire, you look at the colum that says bitrate and choose one that is 192 or less.the songs sound pretty good on the phone too!

    Supported File Formats
MP3 I believe it can support 192Kb/s ONLY??? I know for sure it doesnt like VBR----Variable bit rate
    AAC
    AAC+
ALSO supports 3GP (not sure of length limitations) but do know that I could not get a movie to play-file was about 3hours 600mb.

MicroSD--- The card has to be formated by the phone prior to use and the music files MUST be located in the music folder. Videos in video folder-- etc.

Samsung's website contains a software download for you to do some things. (has limited uses to it) It can organize music, transfer files, sync, and a few other things.

    The FAQ
    SAMSUNG's Digital World - Support
IF the link doesnt work... search on SAMSUNG.com

    HOPE THIS HELPS

If anyone knows about 3GP limitations. LMK

I usually don’t have problems with phones and uploading ringtones but this one pisses me off

I got T629 and it has the music player [mp3 player]

I was wondering how I would upload mp3s to it [full songs], and how the hell do I upload ringtones to it, I don’t even know what format it uses yet

I try to upload mp3 ringtones but it says not supported, and I don’t have the converter on this computer to try mmf or other formats

So does anyone know how to upload whole songs to the t629’s mp3 player

EDIT: i fixed the ringtone problem, now i have a problem with adding mp3s
