You can take songs saved in your computer and transfer to Audacity (download from cnet), then trim the song down to 20 seconds and export selection as an mp3. Save this in a new folder marked ringtones. Then you can transfer that trimmed down song to your phone using your usb data cable or using your sd card. Hopefully this info. helps you out!

What I just discovred is you have to take the sound (or ringtone you want) from the computer, make sure it's saved on the computer, then when you hook up the phone to your computer, go to my computer and go to the file that is what your phone is. (Hope i'm making sense) and then click on LG Media, and it'll open a couple more folders, and you will see VOICE_MEM. You save the sound file in that folder, and it will then be under your recorded audio, where there you can save it as a ringtone. A bit of work, but that's just what I found out. I just need to know how to make the songs I want to be shorter because I have a whole song in there right now. Hope I helped.

I have had the same problem. Friend has Moto phone w/ 100's of ringtones, that he downloaded from his friends phone with no problem. We linked up but kept getting error messages when he tried to send them to me. Also not happy that I can't copy songs from the built in MP3 player to use as ringtones. So far the bluetooth capability on this phone is useless and we have 3 of these phones.

I was able to file push one song across, but I had three qued up and it errored out so it didnt do the rest. I bought DataPilot to try and sync up my address book but that hasn't been able to connect up and I'm having issues even getting to the point of entering a pass-key, even though my old Nokia 6255i connects up no problem....

You can use bluetooth to load files from a computer to your phone or vice versa, but you can't send any files, like ringtones, to another bluetooth enabled phone.
